# Withdraw a draft

### Withdraw a draft

`DELETE /api/v1/drafts/{draftId}`

Operation ID: `withdrawDraft`

Takes back a draft created through the API before anyone reviewed it; it is discarded as `withdrawn`. Withdrawing it again succeeds without changing anything. Drafts held by a campaign step are withdrawn by stopping the lead in the campaign.

**Path parameters**

- `draftId` (string · uuid, required): Draft id

**200**: Draft withdrawn.

- `deleted` (boolean, required)
- `requestId` (string · uuid, required): Id of this request, for support and troubleshooting

**Errors**

- `400`: Bad request
- `401`: Unauthorized: missing or invalid API key
- `403`: Forbidden
- `404`: Not found
- `409`: The draft was already reviewed, or a campaign step holds it.
- `422`: Invalid request payload
