AI Filters Gmail and Sends Only Important Emails to Telegram

This workflow helps you manage your Gmail inbox by automatically identifying and sending only important emails to your Telegram chat. It uses AI to sift through your incoming emails, filtering out newsletters, promotions, and spam, so you stay focused on what matters most.

It does 4 things:

1. Watches for every new email arriving in your Gmail inbox.
2. Uses AI to analyze and classify each email's importance based on content.
3. Filters out less important emails like promotional or newsletter messages.
4. Sends a nicely formatted notification about important emails directly to your Telegram chat.

What you need

1. A Gmail account connected to the workflow.
2. A Telegram bot with an active chat ID to send messages.
3. Access to the AI model GPT-4.1 Mini integrated in Needle for email classification.

How the flow works

Gmail New Email Trigger
This node monitors your Gmail inbox and triggers the workflow every time a new email arrives.

AI Email Classifier and Summarizer
Here, the AI reads the email content and determines if it is important. It looks for items like action requests, deadlines, meetings, financial topics, urgent messages, or emails from key contacts. It also extracts the email’s subject, sender, and a brief summary.

Importance Filter (Code Node)
This custom code checks whether the AI marked the email as important. If yes, it lets the data pass through; if not, it stops the email from proceeding.

Telegram Message Sender
When an important email is identified, this step sends a formatted message to your specified Telegram chat. The message includes the sender’s name, subject, and summary, enhanced with emojis for clarity.

Output

At the end, you receive a Telegram notification anytime an important email lands in your Gmail inbox. This message helps you quickly grasp key details without opening your email client.

• Make sure to replace the placeholder in the Telegram node with your actual chat ID to receive messages correctly.
• The AI model is tuned to minimize false positives but reviewing initial outputs is recommended to adjust criteria.
