The AI Visual Trend Analyzer - Trend Report Generator is a workflow designed to gather, analyze, and report on the latest trends in AI-generated visual content. It collects fresh data from multiple trusted sources, filters and processes this information, and combines it with historical trend data to produce an insightful and comprehensive report.

It does 7 things:

  1. Defines a set of current search queries based on popular visual content trend sources and the current month and year.
  2. Conducts internet searches using those queries to collect relevant articles and sources.
  3. Filters and deduplicates URLs from the search results while excluding irrelevant or problematic domains.
  4. Browses the filtered web pages to scrape detailed content needed for trend analysis.
  5. Retrieves historical trend data from the Needle knowledge base to provide context and comparison.
  6. Merges the newly scraped and historical data.
  7. Uses an AI model to analyze the combined data and generate a detailed markdown trend report covering multiple categories.

What you need

  1. A Needle platform account with access to workflow automation features.
  2. Connectors or credentials to use Needle’s internet search, web browsing, and AI services.
  3. Access to Needle’s historical trend data collection or the ability to query it via the platform.

How the flow works

Generate Search Queries
The workflow starts by generating a list of search queries tailored to current month and year. Each query targets a specific source known for AI art and generative content trends.

Internet Search Node
For each query, the workflow searches the internet to find relevant pages containing up-to-date trend information.

Filter and Deduplicate URLs
This step processes all search results to remove duplicates, PDFs, and links from excluded domains such as social media or login-walled sites, ensuring only relevant URLs remain.

Browse Web Pages
The system visits each filtered URL to scrape detailed content required for comprehensive trend analysis.

Access Historical Trend Data
It pulls historical data from the Needle knowledge base to compare past and present trends.

Merge Data
Combines fresh scraped data with historical trend information for enriched context.

Trend Analysis & Report Generation (AI Node)
An AI model synthesizes all data inputs to produce a structured markdown report. The report includes executive summaries, top trends, detailed sections on styles, videos, platforms, industry sentiment, SEO implications, historical comparisons, predictions, and example prompts.

Output

At the end of the flow, you receive a comprehensive markdown report analyzing current AI-generated visual content trends. This report helps creators, marketers, and strategists understand evolving aesthetics, popular tools, platform landscapes, and predictive insights for the next six months.
