Inbox Zero for Your Reading List
This workflow helps you manage your reading list efficiently by summarizing multiple articles and providing a curated digest. Instead of feeling overwhelmed by a pile of unread content, you get concise summaries and recommendations on what to read first.
It handles the process in a few clear steps:
- Starts with a manual trigger.
- Accepts a list of article URLs as input.
- Visits each URL to extract the full article content.
- Uses an AI model to analyze and summarize each article, assigning a reading priority score.
- Combines all summaries into one digest with key themes and reading recommendations.
What you need
- A Needle account to run this workflow.
- Access to the Needle Web Page Browsing connector.
- Access to the Needle AI connector.
- A list of article URLs you want to process.
How the flow works
| Step | Node | Description |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Manual Trigger | Starts the automation when you decide to run it. |
| 2 | Code | Holds the list of links for the articles you want summarized. You can update this list before running the workflow. |
| 3 | Web Page Browsing | Visits each URL and extracts the full text content of the article to provide material for summarization. |
| 4 | AI Summarization | Processes each article to generate the title, a brief summary, key takeaways, and a read score from 1 to 10 with reasoning. This score helps assess the importance of reading the full text. |
| 5 | Digest Creation | Takes all article summaries and crafts a clean reading digest. It includes a header, individual article breakdowns with priority scores, common themes, and a quick recommendation on what to read first. |
Output
At the end, you receive a neatly formatted reading digest containing concise summaries, key points, and clear reading priorities. This makes it easy to decide which articles deserve your attention and helps you clear your reading list efficiently.
Notes
- Update the list of URLs in the code node before running the workflow to process your current reading list.
- The read score helps you prioritize, but feel free to explore all articles regardless of score.
- This workflow is great for handling lengthy or dense reading lists without getting overwhelmed.
