Introduction

The Gmail Inbox Cleaner workflow organizes your incoming emails by analyzing their content and assigning relevant labels. This helps you keep your inbox tidy and prioritize your messages without manual intervention.

It does three things:

  1. Watches for new emails arriving in your Gmail inbox.
  2. Uses an AI agent to analyze each email’s subject, sender, and body content, and categorizes it as urgent, newsletter, promotion, or personal.
  3. Applies a label to the email based on the category determined by the AI.

What you need

  1. A Gmail account connected to Needle via the Pipedream connector.
  2. An authenticated Needle AI account with access to an AI model.
  3. The Gmail labels: urgent, newsletter, promotion, and personal already created in your Gmail account.

How the flow works

Output

Notes

  1. Make sure the labels used by the workflow exactly match the label names in your Gmail account, including capitalization.
  2. The AI model’s temperature is set low to deliver consistent and accurate classifications.
  3. This workflow acts only on emails labeled as INBOX to avoid processing archived or already sorted messages.
  4. You can extend this template by adding additional actions like moving emails to folders or sending notifications for urgent messages.
