Overview
This workflow automatically fetches your focused Outlook emails every day, summarizes their key details using AI, and sends the summaries directly to you via Telegram. It's ideal for busy professionals who want to stay informed on important messages without reading every email in full.
The workflow does four things:
- Triggers automatically at midnight UTC every day.
- Retrieves up to 100 emails from your Outlook "Focused" inbox section.
- Uses an AI agent to generate a clear, concise summary of each email — covering sender intent, key points, required actions, deadlines, and tone.
- Sends these summaries as text messages to a specified Telegram chat.
What You Need
- A Microsoft Outlook account with the focused inbox enabled.
- Permission and credentials to access Outlook emails via the Microsoft Outlook connector.
- A Telegram account and a Telegram Bot API token.
- The chat ID of the Telegram recipient (this could be yourself or a group where you want to receive summaries).
- Access to the Needle platform with the required connectors enabled.
How the Flow Works

| Telegram Bot API – Send Text Message | Sends the AI-generated email summary as a text message to the specified Telegram chat ID. |
Output
At the end of the flow, you receive neatly formatted summaries of your focused Outlook emails delivered as Telegram messages. Each summary highlights:
- Sender Intent — What the sender wants or needs.
- Key Points — The 2–5 most important facts, updates, or decisions.
- Action Required — What you need to do (or "No action needed").
- Deadline / Urgency — Any dates or urgency signals.
- Tone — A one-word description (e.g., Formal, Urgent, Friendly).
This makes it easy to quickly grasp the essentials of every important email at a glance.
Notes
- The AI summarization focuses solely on the email body and ignores repetitions or greetings for brevity.
- If an email is very short or empty, the AI responds with "Email body insufficient for summarization."
- Ensure your Telegram bot has permission to message the target chat.
- You can customize the cron schedule in the trigger node to run at a different time if needed.
- The workflow currently processes up to 100 emails per run. Adjust settings or split into batches for higher volumes.
- The summary format is plain text to ensure clear readability within Telegram messages.
