Track European Startup Grants Weekly
Automatically searches for new grants, accelerators, fellowships, and startup programs across Europe every week, saving results to Google Sheets and emailing a digest.
Track New Grants and Startup Programs in Europe
This workflow automatically searches for newly announced grants, fellowships, accelerators, incubators, startup programs, and innovation funding calls across Europe every Monday morning. It compiles only the most relevant and currently active opportunities for entrepreneurs and startups, deduplicates them against previously tracked entries, then saves new finds in a Google Sheet and emails a weekly digest.
What It Does
- Triggers every Monday at 9 AM (Istanbul time) on a recurring schedule.
- Runs an AI-powered internet search with multiple targeted queries to find recent opportunities relevant to startups and innovation in Europe.
- Parses and validates the extracted data, keeping only high-quality, active, and recently announced program listings.
- Deduplicates results by checking existing entries in your Google Sheet so the same opportunity is never added twice.
- Saves each new opportunity as a row in a specified Google Sheets spreadsheet.
- Sends a weekly email digest summarizing the new opportunities to your designated email address.
What You Need
- A Needle account to create and run the workflow.
- A Google Sheets account with a spreadsheet to store opportunities.
- A Gmail account to send the weekly digest email.
- Proper authentication set up for the Google Sheets and Gmail connectors within Needle.
How the Flow Works
| Node | Description |
|---|---|
| Scheduled Trigger | Runs the workflow every Monday at 09:00 AM Europe/Istanbul time. |
| AI Search & Extraction | Uses an AI agent with internet search and web browsing tools to find new, active European startup funding and support opportunities. Returns structured JSON data. |
| Code Parser | Parses the AI output, validates each opportunity, and formats it into rows ready for Google Sheets insertion. |
| Google Sheets – Get Existing Titles | Fetches existing opportunity titles from column A of your spreadsheet to support deduplication. |
| Merge | Combines the new parsed opportunities with the existing sheet data into a single stream for comparison. |
| Deduplication Code | Filters out any opportunities already present in the spreadsheet, keeping only genuinely new entries. |
| Google Sheets – Upsert Row | Inserts each new opportunity as a row in the configured Google Sheets worksheet with 16 structured columns. |
| Gmail – Send Email | Sends a formatted HTML email digest of the week's new opportunities to your designated recipient. |
Output
At the end of each run, you get:
- A populated Google Sheet with detailed rows for each newly found opportunity, including fields like:

Setup Notes
- Make sure to replace the placeholder Google Sheet ID in the Google Sheets nodes with your own spreadsheet ID.
- Update the recipient email address in the Gmail node to your preferred inbox.
- The workflow filters out expired, archived, or generic pages to avoid clutter.
- Opportunity data is limited to those announced or updated in the last 14 days to keep information fresh.
- Ensure your Google Sheets and Gmail connectors are authorized with write and send permissions.
- This automation saves significant time for founders, ecosystem builders, or anyone monitoring startup funding and support calls in Europe.
