What a connected account is
Connected accounts are the LinkedIn and Instagram senders this workspace reaches out from. A connected account is active, paused, needs reconnect, or disconnected.
Sending
Campaigns send from the connected account bound to each step. Each connected account has usage limits per action. You can pause a connected account or change those limits.
Limits
Every metered action has hourly, daily, and weekly caps that start at the channel defaults. The limits endpoint lists them per action with the caps in force, the override behind them if any, and usage so far. You can override the caps for one action or reset it to the defaults. A cap can be tightened or loosened but never removed; going above the default raises the risk of provider restrictions. When a call is refused with 429, the error names the action and window and includes the same usage and limits.
Connecting
Connect one in the dashboard. The API can list, update, and delete connected accounts. Connecting a new one is dashboard-only.
Who can do what
Whoever connects an account owns it. A new account is shared with everyone in the workspace. The owner can limit that to chosen members; those members have account access. Everything else stays with the owner.

Workspace admins can also delete any connected account, so accounts left behind by former members can be cleaned up. A conversation with a lead counts from Needle's first message or connection request to them from the account; messages before that stay with the owner. A webhook receives the events the member who created it can see, so only that member can change it.
Through a connected account, without a campaign, you can look up a profile, send a message, or read a conversation. You can also search people, send or withdraw a connection request, and list connections.
In a campaign sequence the LinkedIn steps are connection request, withdraw request, message, InMail, and profile view. A sequence can wait until a reply or an accepted connection request, and can branch on whether they are already a connection.
